Our Adoption Agreement & Philosophy

At VanCastle Ragdolls, the health, happiness, and lifelong well-being of our kittens are our highest priorities. All kitten adoptions are governed by a binding written agreement designed to protect our buyers, our cattery, and—most importantly—the welfare of the kittens we raise.

Key elements of our adoption agreement include:

• Non-Refundable Deposit: To reserve a specific kitten or secure a position on our waiting list, a $300 deposit is required. Deposits are strictly non-refundable, as they cover administrative costs and hold your kitten exclusively for your family. If the cattery cannot fulfill your reservation due to unforeseen illness, injury, or loss prior to pickup, your deposit will be applied to a future litter or fully refunded.

• Pet-Only Commitments: Our kittens are placed strictly as loved family pets and are never sold for unapproved breeding or commercial purposes.

• Health & Genetic Warranties: Every kitten comes backed by an initial health check window as well as a 1-year limited genetic health warranty for peace of mind.

• Responsible Vaccination Protocols: We follow evidence-based veterinary guidelines and require careful vaccination schedules to protect developing immune systems.

• Lifetime Care & Anti-Shelter Guarantee: We are committed to our kittens for life. Under our agreement, if an owner is ever unable to keep their cat, they must offer the cattery the first right to reclaim the cat, ensuring none of our cats ever enter a shelter or rescue facility.
